WIU Home for Weekend Theatre and Dance Alumni Reunion

MACOMB, IL -- Alumni from Western Illinois University's Department of Theatre and Dance will converge on campus for a reunion Thursday-Sunday, April 5-8.

The reunion will include a series of events and workshops and reunion performances. This weekend's schedule includes:

• Thursday, April 5

- 7-10 p.m. - Welcome mixer, Sports Corner @ 124, downtown Macomb

- 11 p.m. - "Surgin Generals" alumni improv show, Simpkins Theatre


• Friday, April 6

- Noon-1:30 p.m. – Teaching Artist Workshop, by WIU Department of Art Chair Kay Myers, Simpkins Hall 241

- 1:45-2:45 p.m. – Informational Session on the Actors' Equity Association (AEA) by alumna Cynthia Hanks, Simpkins Hall 241

- 3-5 p.m. - Unrehearsed Shakespeare Workshop with Theatre and Dance Professor Bill Kincaid, Simpkins Hall 241

- 7 p.m. - Attending performance of "Avenue Q" in Hainline Theatre

- 10 p.m. – Alumni Cabaret – "W.A.T.R. a Radio Musical," Simpkins Theatre


• Saturday, April 7

- 10 a.m. – noon – Theatrical Firearms Workshop with Theatre and Dance Professor DC Wright, Simpkins Theatre

- 2 p.m. – Alumni softball game, Patton Park. Undergraduate students should wear blue; graduate students should wear red and alumni should wear purple and gold.

- 11 p.m. – Reunion party at "The Cabin," 520 N. Lafayette St. and at The Change of Pace


• Sunday, April 8

- Noon – Good-bye brunch and alumni award show: 10402 E. 950th St., Macomb

Also during the weekend, one alumni, who is a photographer, will be taking mini-session headshots.
