World Aids Day Commemorated Dec. 1 at WIU

MACOMB, IL – World AIDS Day will be commemorated at Western Illinois University from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1 in the Multicultural Center.

The event will include displays about HIV-AIDS and its impact, as well as awareness and commemoration activities and raffle prizes. The 30-minute film, "The Lazarus Effect" will be shown at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m.

The event is sponsored by Beu Health Center, the Black Male Achievement Network, the Black Student Summit, Casa Latina, the Gwendolyn Brooks Cultural Center, the Latin American Student Organization, the LGBT*QA Resource Center and Tradicón.
