Director of Marketing Interviews Set

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL -- Interviews for the Western Illinois University director of marketing position will be held Monday-Tuesday, Nov. 27-28; Monday-Tuesday, Dec 4-5; and Wednesday-Thursday, Dec. 6-7.

Candidates include Victoria Parry, sales and marketing team leader for PAL Health Technologies in Pekin, IL (Nov. 27-28); Teresa Koltzenburg (Dec. 4-5), director of strategic communications for Purdue University Libraries; and Suzi Pritchard, former brand identity and senior account executive for Intel Corporation in Santa Clara, CA. (Dec. 6-7).

An open session, which will also feature a marketing presentation, will be held on the Macomb campus from 10-11:15 a.m. Nov. 27 in the Corbin/Olson electronic classroom (Parry), Dec. 4 in the University Union Capitol Room (Koltzenburg) and Dec. 6 in the University Union Capitol Room (Pritchard), and on the Quad Cities campus from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Nov. 28 in Riverfront Hall 103/104 (Parry), Dec. 5 in QC Complex 2406 (Koltzenburg) and Dec. 7 in QC Complex 2406 (Pritchard).

Parry has served as a sales and marketing team leader for PAL Health Technologies since January 2017. She is also an adjunct marketing faculty member at Benedictine University in Springfield, IL and Spoon River College in Canton, IL. Previously, she served as the strategic marketing director (2015-2017), marketing coordinator, Neurosciences Service Line (2010-2015) and the marketing manager, OSF Saint Francis Medical Center (2008-2010) for OSF Healthcare in Peoria, IL. Parry has worked as the director of communication for the American Red Cross in Peoria (2003-2008); director of communication for the Chicago Dental Society (1999-2003); and communication manager of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association in Chicago (1997-1999).

Parry earned an MBA from Benedictine University and a bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University.

Koltzenburg has served as director of strategic communications for Purdue University Libraries since January 2017. Previously, she was the director of social media (December 2016-January 2017), assistant director/social media manager (2012-2016), public information coordinator/social media coordinator (2010-2012) and public information specialist/social media specialist (2008-2010) for University Relations at WIU. Koltzenburg has worked as the new media manager for the Burlington Hawkeye (2007-2008); editor/unit manager for the American Library Association, ALA Publishing in Chicago (2004-2007); senior editor, Film & Foil Converter Magazine in Chicago (1999-2004); associate editor, CLEARVUE/SVE in Chicago (1996-1999); assignment editor/graduate assistant, Department of Radio and Television, Southern Illinois University (1994-1995); and reporter, WKAI-FM in Macomb (1992-1994).

Koltzenburg earned master's and bachelor's degrees from WIU.

Pritchard served as the brand identity and senior account executive for Intel Corporation from 2014-2017. Previously, she served in various positions at Intel, including global brand design and identity consultant (2008-2013), brand identity strategic design manager (2005-2007), brand identity Intel Education marketing communications manager (2001-2004) and Intel.com IT web operations designer/web developer (1998-2001). Pritchard has worked as a marketing graphic designer for Virgin Games (1996-1998) and marketing multimedia production artist for Ingram Micro (1994-1995).

Pritchard earned a bachelor's degree from California State University-Fullerton.

Serving both the Macomb and Quad Cities campuses, the director of marketing plans, develops, implements and directs the integrated marketing and institutional branding at the University to increase public awareness of, and support for, the University and enhance WIU's prominence among prospective and current students, alumni
and other stakeholders. The director also researches and analyzes current benchmark trends and audience preferences to determine the most appropriate mix of media to promote and present Western Illinois University. The director also evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of the University's marketing/branding efforts using proven methods to obtain data and analytics.
