WIU-QC Students Named to SALUTE Honor Society

MOLINE - Four Western Illinois University-Quad Cities students have been named to the SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society. According to its web site, SALUTE is the only national honor society recognizing and honoring the service and the scholastic achievements of student veterans.

The WIU-QC inductees are:

Douglas Wood
Major: Engineering
Class: Senior
Hometown: Davenport, IA

Kaleb Wadsworth
Major: Communication
Class: Senior
Hometown: Davenport, IA

Todd Range
Major: Master's in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration
Class: Graduate Student
Hometown: Yorkville, IL

Patrick Gilliam
Major: Information Systems
Class: Junior
Hometown: Rantoul, IL


To be eligible for induction, undergraduate military/veteran students must meet a specific grade point average, and maintain high ethical standards, among other criteria.

Western Illinois University has earned the distinction as a "Best for Vets College" by Military Times EDGE magazine and ranks in the top 20 percent of all colleges, universities and trade schools serving their veterans and service members.
