Western Avenue Phase 1 Construction Begins May 17

MACOMB, IL -- Western Avenue, from Adams Street to the Corbin/Olson parking lot, will be closed starting Wednesday, May 17 for phase 1 of the City of Macomb's Western Avenue overlay project. The section of Western Avenue is expected to be completed and reopened by June 5.

Phases two and three (from the Corbin/Olson parking lot to Murray Street, and the University Union/Malpass Library Lot to University Drive, respectively) will begin following phase one completion. Full street closures will be in effect for phases two and three.

Riverview Drive to Murray Street will remain open, as will the parking lot between Knoblauch Hall and the Malpass Library.
