Public Safety Expo April 24 at WIU

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University will host a Public Safety Expo from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, April 24 in the east arena of Western Hall.

The schedule of events includes:

• 10 a.m.-2 p.m. – Police scenario Simulator by Illinois Tactical Firearms Training and the WIU Office of Public Safety (OPS)

• 10 a.m.-2 p.m. – Driving simulator by the Illinois State Police

• 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. - Table fair and impaired driving simulator

• 10:30-11 a.m. – K-9 demonstration by the Macomb Police Department

• 11 a.m.-1 p.m. – Lunch by Hy-Vee

• 11:30 a.m.-noon – K-9 demonstration by the Illinois State Police

• 12:30-1 p.m. – Rescue airbag demonstration by the Macomb Fire Department

• 1:30-2 p.m. – K-9 demonstration by the McDonough County Sheriff's Department
