Asare to Deliver Kline Professorship Lecture April 25

MACOMB, IL – The fourth annual Kline Professorship Lecture, delivered by Assistant Professor of Foreign Languages and Literatures Edmund Asare, will be presented at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 25 in Morgan Hall 310.

Asare's lecture is titled "Anthropomorphism and Humanism in the African Folktale: Thinking Animals in Gabriel Mfomo's 'Soirées au Village.'"

"Soirées au Village" is a collection of Cameroonian folktales edited by Gabriel E. Mfomo. The collection was awarded the Prix Broquette-Gonin in Literature by the Académie Française.

This lecture is supported by the Vivian Diane Kline and Lenore Huston Kline endowment. Refreshments will be served following the presentation.
