WIU Accounting and Finance Faculty Recognized with Best in Track Award

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University Finance Instructor Stephen Gray and Associate Professor of Accounting Charles Pryor were recently recognized at the Academy of Finance's 2017 annual conference. Their paper, "Transaction-based Lending and Real Earnings Management" was given the Best in Track Award for Financial Markets.
The Academy of Finance (AOF) is one of 12 professional divisions of the Midwest Business Administration Association (MBAA) and holds annual meetings in Chicago each spring.
Gray has worked in the WIU Department of Accounting and Finance for 20 years; while Pryor has been with Western since 2008.
"The Department of Accounting and Finance would like to congratulate Stephen and Charles for their achievement and recognize them for conducting collaborative research," said Department Chair Gregg Woodruff.
