Social Entrepreneurship Salon March 23: The "For Purpose" Business Model

MOLINE, IL -- Western Illinois University-Quad Cities will present "The 'For Purpose' Business Model" at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 23 as part of the WIU-QC Liberal Arts and Sciences Student Organization (LASSO) Social Entrepreneurship Salon Series.

The March 23 presentation, which will be held in Riverfront Hall, rooms 103-104, will feature a panel discussion focusing on Quad Cities-area businesses who adhere to a "for purpose" model of sustainability and positive impacts on the community. Executives from Rock Valley Physical Therapy, RIA Federal Credit Union, Sedona Technologies and the WIU-QC Illinois Small Business Development Center will take part in the program.

The Salon Series is open free to the campus community and general public.

According to WIU College of Art and Sciences (CAS) Assistant Dean James Rabchuk, the series, presented by the CAS and the College of Business and Technology, is designed to bring together thinkers and practitioners to network and exchange ideas related to social entrepreneurship initiatives that serve the Quad Cities area.
