Two WIU Broadcasting Students Named Finalists for National Awards

MACOMB, IL – Two Western Illinois University students have been named finalists in the 2017 National Broadcasting Society's (NBS) Undergraduate Student Electronic Media Competition.

This year's finalists from Western include:

• Audio Feature Segment – "Springfield FBI Simulation," by Breanna Descourouez, a senior broadcasting major from East Moline, IL.

• Video Sports Play-By-Play – "WIU Football vs. Indiana State," by Redrick Terry, a senior broadcasting major from Rock Island, IL.

The award winners will be announced Tuesday-Sunday, March 21-26 at the 75th annual NBS convention in New York, NY.
