WIU President's International String Quartet to perform March 8

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University College of Fine Arts and Communication and the School of Music will present "An Evening with the President's International String Quartet" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 8 at the First Presbyterian Church in Macomb.

The church is located on North Dudley Street.

The concert will include pieces by Beethoven and Dvorak, which the group will be performing at the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) competition in Baltimore, MD in March.

The current members of the President's International String Quartet are violinists Vlad Hontilă, a junior music major, and Luciana Hontilă, a senior music major, both from Cluj-Napoca in Romania; violinist Giorgi Khatalev, a senior music major from the Republic of Georgia, and cellist Nathalie Hernandez-Ayala, a freshman music major from Mexico.

The concert is open free to the public.
