Agans Obituary

MACOMB, IL – Funeral services for retired WIU Athletics equipment manager Donald D. "Zeke" Agans were held Monday, Nov. 28 in Augusta.
Agans passed away Thursday, Nov. 24 at the Courtyard Estates Assisted Living Center in Bushnell, IL.
Agans began work at WIU in September 1963 with the janitorial staff. He then became the equipment manager for 12 WIU sports teams, as well as the physical education and intramural programs. He retired in October 1993.
Agans assisted with the WIU football team for three years and was one of the 13 founding members of the Athletic Equipment Association. He was inducted in the WIU Hall of Fame in 2002.
In addition to his wife, Kathleen, Agans is survived by his daughter, Diana.
Burial with military honors was held in Woodlawn Cemetery in Augusta, IL.
