Col. Rock III 2017 Calendar "Signing" Dec. 12 at WIU Bookstore

MACOMB, IL -- Col. Rock III, Western Illinois University's mascot, will be at the University Bookstore Monday, Dec. 12 "signing" the 2017 Col. Rock III calendars and posing for photos with his fans.

Individuals who purchase the calendar, which are on sale at the University Bookstore for $5.50 and online at tinyurl.com/pkxt744, can have their calendar(s) "signed" with an official Rocky paw print sticker from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Dec. 12.

The 2017 calendar, designed by University Relations Graphic Designer Shanee Sullivan, features photos of Western's beloved canine and important WIU dates, such as Founders' Day, Homecoming and Purple & Gold Day. The photos, taken by WIU Visual Production Center photographers and by Rocky's "person" Joe Roselieb, feature Col. Rock III through the years. A portion of the proceeds from calendar sales go toward the Col. Rock III Fund, established by the WIU Foundation in February 2012, which helps meet travel-related, food, health care and "clothing" expenses.
