WIU's WAVE Partners with Salvation Army for Angel Tree

MACOMB, IL – A Western Illinois University student organization is teaming up with the Macomb Salvation Army to organize a holiday Angel Tree for area children in need.

Western's All Volunteer Effort (WAVE) is sponsoring a holiday tree in the University Union Concourse. The tree will be decorated with angels, each containing the name of a child and a list of items he or she needs. Those interested in being a part of the program can select an angel ornament from the tree and log it in the notebook at the Union's service center.

Participants can then buy items from the angel list and bring the unwrapped gifts to the WIU Office of Student Activities (OSA) in the University Union by Friday, Dec. 9. The gifts will be distributed before the holiday season.
