First Wednesday Art Event Dec. 7

MACOMB, IL - The Western Illinois University Department of Art will host another session of First Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7 in Garwood Hall, the Heating Plant Annex and the University Art Gallery.

The event is open to anyone who wants to experience art. This month's schedule includes:

Garwood Hall activities:
• Learn the Art of Embossment – Professors Julie Mahoney, Jan Clough and Bill Howard, Garwood Hall, room 13

• Silkscreened Holiday Cards – Professors Susan Czechowski and Jenny Knavel, Garwood Hall, room 11

• Holiday Ornaments – Professor Ta-teh Ku, Garwood Hall, room 24

• Palette Knife Painting Workshop – Professor Damon McArthur, Garwood Hall, room 30

Heating Plant Annex (HPA) activities:
• Walking Dead Sculpture Fest and Wheel Throwing – Professor Ian Shelly, HPA, room 111

• Pressed Holiday Metal Ornaments – Professor Kat Myers, HPA, room 107

The University Art Gallery will be open late as part of December's First Wednesday event.
