Assistant to the Academic Vice President for Budget and Personnel Candidates; Open Sessions Begin Dec. 1

MACOMB, IL - - Two candidates have been selected to interview for the assistant to the academic vice president for budget and personnel at Western Illinois University.

The candidates include Anita Sells, director of human resources at Galesburg Cottage Hospital (Dec. 1), and Amy Chambers, human resource generalist at Great Rivers Health Systems (Dec. 2).

An open session will be held for Sells at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1 in the University Union Board Room, and an open session will be held for Chambers at 10:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2 in the University Union Board Room.

Sells has served as the director of human resources at Galesburg Cottage Hospital since July. Previously, she was a human resource senior manager (February 2016-July 2016), human resource manager (2007-2016) and human resource representative/officer (2006-2007), all at WIU.

Sells earned her master's degree in communication in 2009 from WIU and her bachelor's degree in speech communication from Augustana College in 1996.

Chambers has served as a human resource generalist at GRHS since 2015. Previously, she was a human resource associate (2012-2015), benefits counselor (2008-2012), admissions/records representative (2006-2008), office support specialist (2002-2006) and office support associate (2001-2002), all at WIU.

Chambers earned her MBA in 2013 and her bachelor's in human resource management in 2010 from Western, and she received her associate degree in 1997 from Carl Sandburg College.
