MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) annual Performing Arts Society Gala will take place Saturday, April 8 in the University Union Grand Ballroom, instead of its traditional November date.

The Performing Arts Society includes community and University volunteers who are patrons of the arts and dedicated to advancing art programs at WIU and in the Macomb community.

The COFAC staff, committee volunteers and students are working to put together a night of elegance and enchantment. This year's theme will be "Once Upon a Time," based on literary inspirations from classic fairy tales.

Attendees can anticipate a fine dining experience provided by Sodexo catering that will be tailored to the theme. COFAC students will be displaying their talents through live painting, theatrical vignettes and more.

The Gala includes an auction where individuals can create themed baskets to be auctioned the night of the event, or individual items can be donated to be placed in baskets.

Tickets will be available closer to the event. Dress for the evening will be formal.
