'Visible Mending' Opens at WIU's Annex Gallery

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Department of Art will host an exhibition by Missouri artist Catherine Armbrust, titled "Visible Mending," through Sunday, Oct. 2 in the Annex Gallery of the Heating Plant Annex.

The works in "Visible Mending" were created as Armbrust dealt with the grief and loss of her best friend. Through the exhibit, she uses repetition of pattern and objects to suggest the rhythm of life, with voids and contrasts suggesting loss.
