Griesenbrock Obituary

MACOMB, IL - Western Illinois University Professor Emeritus Herman Griesenbrock, Jr., 91, passed away in Macomb Wednesday, Aug. 10.
Cremation has been accorded, and graveside services will be held at a later date at the family plot in Muscatine IA.
Griesenbrock came to Western in 1950 and served as chair of the graduate program in the Industrial Education Department. He also chaired numerous University committees before retiring on Sept. 1, 1983.
Prior to coming to Western, Griesenbrock was a high school teacher in Cedar Falls, IA.
After receiving his bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa, Griesenbrock received his master's degree from the Colorado State College of Education and has doctoral degree from Bradley University.
Griesenbrock is survived by his wife, Margaret; his daughter, Lois "Rooney" Dively; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
