Butler Obituary

MACOMB, IL – Funeral services for retired Western Illinois University School of Music Staff Accompanist Rhoda Claire Grass Butler will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 25, at the First Presbyterian Church in Macomb. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Butler passed away Wednesday, June 20.
She began working at WIU in June 1988 and retired in June 2003. In addition to serving as the staff accompanist, Butler was a volunteer reader for Radio Information Service for the blind and visually impaired.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert Butler, two sons and four step-children.
Memorial donations may be made to the Rhoda Grass Butler Collaborative Piano Scholarship, in care of the WIU Foundation, 303 Sherman Hall, 1 University Circle, Macomb, IL 61455.
