WIU: Who We Are, What We Do

Behind the bricks and mortar, there are the people of Western Illinois University and the Macomb community.

Who I Am: Chris Lovingood. I was raised alongside 10 siblings, and through them I learned not to take life so seriously all the time and to have a little fun here and there.

What I Do: I'm a reporter at WEEK-TV in Peoria, and when I was at WIU, I worked at Tri-States Public radio, at AIS and at WIUM reporting, producing, anchoring, reporting, and cutting video for NEWS3 in the broadcasting department.

Why I Love WIU: I know WIU is having tough times right now, but I wish more people understood the vast amount of resources available there. WIU help put me on the track I am now to be in the broadcast biz. Although Sallee is windowless, I still managed to open the windows of opportunities to land a job right out of school as well as some lasting relationships
