WIU Student Named Winner in National Sweepstakes

MACOMB, IL - Western Illinois University junior Sandi Reber, a psychology major from Shelbyville (IL), was named one of 15 winners in Sodexo's "Elements: The Future of Flavor" national prize sweepstakes.

The national competition was featured through Sodexo at more than 600 college and univeristy campuses nationwide.

Reber received a Deluxe Molecular Gastronomy Kit, including a recipe book, DVDs, tools and a variety of food addititves and ingredients.

The "Elements: The Future of Flavor" program is part of an ongoing resident dining promotion series sonsored by Sodexo, the dining services company at Western. The program provides students with a look at what food will look and taste like in the future.

From a taste of molecular gastronomy to a sampling of mixed-and-matched cuisines and dishes, this unique promotion focused on the "what if" in the creation of new, innovative and even out-of-this-world foods.
