WIU Department of Art Hosting Ceramics Workshop

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University's Ceramics and Clay Club and the Department of Art will host a Ceramics Workshop that will be taught by visiting artist, Shane Christensen.

Christensen is a studio potter and teaches ceramics at Dixie State University. He has an MFA in ceramics from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor's degree in ceramic and sculpture from Southern Utah University.

The workshops are open free to the public This will also be an opportunity to visit the 3D art facilities and see some of the technology. There are two workshops that are listed below:

Wednesday, Feb. 17 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Heating Plant Annex Room 111
Followed by a lecture by Christensen at 5 p.m. in Tillman Hall 212
Thursday, Feb. 18 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. in Tillman Hall 212

Both workshops will have an hour-long lunch break at noon.
