MOLINE, IL - This year's "The Big Picture" was recently taken on the Western Illinois University-Quad Cities campus. The purpose of the annual photograph is to show support and create more awareness and understanding of the LGBT community.

"The Big Picture" is open to gay, lesbians, bisexual and transgendered students, faculty, staff and community members, along with their family, friends and allies.

"Western Illinois University values diversity in our University and our host communities; and this was a wonderful expression of our commitment to diversity," said Joe Rives, vice president for Quad Cities and Planning. "Thank you to all who participated in this year's Big Picture and the many more diversity activities planned for next year. Together, we support a welcoming, inclusive environment to the benefit of all."
