WIU to Host Visiting Artist Wilkey

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Department of Art and the WIU Ceramics and Clay Club will host visiting artist Bill Wilkey, of Helena, MT.

Wilkey, a studio potter, will be demonstrating his craft from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13 and from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14 in the Heating Plant Annex, room 111. Then, at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, Wilkey will lecture about his work, in Garwood, room 10.

Wilkey is in his second year of residency at the Archie Bray Foundation, where he was the 2014 recipient of the Joan Lincoln Fellowship and the 2015 Windgate Fellowship.

All of the events are open free to the University and Macomb communities.
