'First Wednesday' Comes to WIU

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Department of Art will host "First Wednesday," from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7 in Garwood Hall and the Heating Plant Annex on the Macomb campus.

Both buildings will be open to those who "want to get their hands dirty."

Professor Susan Czechowski will be helping participants print on tote bags, Professors Jan Clough and Julie Mahoney will be teaching portrait drawing and Assistant Professor Duke Oursler will be demonstrating how to sculpt steel. In addition, Professor Bill Howard will be exploring the etching process, Professor Ian Shelly will be demonstrating with clay and Professor Kat Myers will be demonstrating how to fabricate a band ring.

The event is free and open to the public.
