WIU-QC Minority Scholarship Fundraiser

MOLINE, IL -- The Western Illinois University-Quad Cities will host a WIU-QC Minority Scholarship breakfast fundraiser from 7:30-9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26 at Western Illinois University-Quad Cities Riverfront Hall (rooms 103/104).

A WIU minority alumnus who has a leadership role in the Quad City community and a past scholarship recipient will be recognized at the event. All proceeds from the fundraiser go toward scholarships supporting education.

Admission is $25 per person and reservations are required. Reservations or donations can be made by contacting the WIU Foundation office at (309) 298-1861.

Co-sponsors of the event include 100 Black Men of the Quad Cities, Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Davenport Council 10 League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), Davenport Branch NAACP No. 4019, QC United, Rock Island County Branch NAACP and VIVA Quad Cities.
