MACOMB, IL -- Western Illinois University's Rocky Sustains program will now oversee the ink and toner cartridge recycling program on campus, previously administered by Document and Publications Searvices (DPS).

According to Mandi Green, sustainability coordinator, the empty cartridges can still be placed in departmental mail bags for pick-up. From there, the cartridges will be collected from Mailing Services for recycling. All copier, inkjet and laser desktop printer toner and cartridges, including those that are recycled, should be recycled.

According to State of Illinois policy, the cartridges are University property and may not be donated to any entity or organization off-campus.

For more information, contact Green at (309) 298-1834 or SA-Green@wiu.edu. For more on recycling, visit wiu.edu/vpas/sustainability.
