Bonifas Named Director of Institutional Research & Planning

MACOMB, IL -- Angela Bonifas, associate director of institutional research and planning, at Western Illinois University, has been named director of institutional research and planning (IRP). Bonifas replaces Rhonda Kline who retired in May after 34 years of service.
Bonifas joined the IRP office in February 2013. In her role as associate director, she has been responsible for the accurate collection, analysis and reporting of University data, as well as implementing data collection requests. Bonifas has also managed the University's mandatory reporting for numerous state and federal agencies and organizations.
"Ms. Bonifas' experience and her knowledge of University departments and state and federal regulations will allow the University to continue reporting requirements and data collection and analysis in an efficient and accurate fashion," said WIU President Jack Thomas.
Previously, she was a compliance specialist in WIU's Office of Sponsored Projects for four years. Bonifas has also served as a learning outcomes analyst and a research assistant at Waubonsee Community College.
