Dear Campus Community,

As we near the end of the 2014-2015 academic year, I would like to take a moment to thank you for being a part of the Western Illinois University community.

We have so many outstanding students, faculty, and staff. I am fortunate to serve as president of Western and work along side you every day. Together, we have made this University great, and together, we will continue to make Western Illinois University even better for future generations.

To the Class of 2015, congratulations! I look forward to greeting each one of you as you cross the stage this weekend during Commencement, and I wish you all so much success as you leave our campus (and remember, you are always welcome at your alma mater)!

To those faculty and staff who are retiring, I bid you best wishes and hearty congratulations. I hope that you remain a part of the University, and that you remember your time here with fondness. Thank you for your service to WIU.

To our students, faculty, and staff who will return this fall (and those who remain at WIU throughout the summer), I wish you a wonderful and safe summer. I hope you get the opportunity to enjoy some leisure activities, and enjoy quality time with family and friends.

I truly appreciate the support, the dedication, and the loyalty that our campus community exhibits every day. You all are what make Western Illinois University great.

Sincerely,

Jack Thomas
President
Western Illinois University
