Geisler Named to Position with Centennial Honors College

MACOMB, IL – Alexandra Geisler has been named the assistant to the director for the Western Illinois University Centennial Honors College.

Geisler received her bachelor's degree in biological sciences and her master's degree in college student personnel, both from Western.

Prior to coming to Western, Geisler was the president and chief executive officer at the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Development Corporation. Before moving to the Chamber, she was the director of development at Wesley Village in Macomb.

The assistant to the director assists with the recruitment, selection, supervision and promotion of students for prestigious national and international scholarships and fellowships and with developing the Honors College and working with alumni.

Geisler will also work with coordinating fundraising events and cooperatively with a variety of campus offices and events.
