MACOMB, IL - - In 2013, the Western Illinois University Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) launched the campaign "Moving Rocky for Scholarships." The program was started to assist with scholarship funding at WIU.

A cutout of Col. Rock III (aka Rocky) will continue to move from office to office when employees make a contribution to the Civil Service Employees Council Scholarship Fund.

Col. Rock will reside in an office for one week for a $25 donation ($50-two weeks; $75-three weeks; and $100-one month).

Each year, the CSEC awards up to nine $1,000 scholarships and up to 15 $100 book awards to WIU civil service employees' dependents attending Western. Since 1981, more than $160,000 in scholarships, and more than $18,000 in book awards, have been awarded. The endowment requires approximately $225,000 to fully fund scholarships offered each year.
