Warrior Dog Dash Comes to WIU May 2

MACOMB, IL - Western Illinois University's Lincoln, Washington and Grote halls will host the first "Warrior Dog Dash" at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 2 at Hanson Field.

The event will feature an obstacle course that will allow teams or individuals to compete for the fastest time. After racing through the course, participants can enjoy a variety of snacks, music and entertainment.

Registration is open through Saturday, April 25 for teams (maximum of seven members) or individuals and is $5 per person. Registration forms can be downloaded at bit.ly/warriordogdash.

This event is open to the public.

All proceeds from the event will support the Warrior Dog Foundation, which seeks to assist Special Operations Forces K-9 dogs that have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. The foundation is a non-profit and rehabilitates all canines that return from active service after being wounded physically or mentally.
