MOLINE, IL -- Western Illinois University's Quad Cities campus will serve as the host for the National Association of Branch Campus Administrators (NABCA) Annual Conference Friday-Saturday, April 15-18.

The National Association of Branch Campus Administrators is comprised of presidents, provosts, deans and other administrators who operate branch campus locations. More than 100 members will gather at the annual conference to share ideas, plans, research and best practices, according to Joe Rives, vice president for Quad Cities and planning.

"We are proud to be this year's NABCA site host. It is a great opportunity to showcase Western Illinois University, our academic excellence and educational opportunities enhanced from our bi-state and higher education partnerships and the premier location of our host communities," Rives added.

This year's conference keynote speakers include Mary Landon Darden, dean of the Concordia University Texas San Antonio Center, and Charles Bird, vice president emeritus for University Outreach at Ohio University. Darden will speak on the entrepreneurial role of branch campuses, while Bird will discuss the mission and significance of branch campuses.

The conference will conclude with a panel discussion featuring Rives, Assistant Vice President for Quad Cities and Planning Kristi Mindrup and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at California State Fullerton-Irvine Rob Flores. The discussion will focus on innovative and successful partnerships proven to increase student persistence and completion rates.
