Smoke-Free Campus Task Force Established at WIU

MACOMB, IL -- To comply with the new Smoke-Free Campus Act, which will go into effect at public university campuses statewide July 1, all public universities were required to have a Smoke-Free Campus Task Force established by Dec. 31.

The task force is responsible for drafting a smoke free policy for their respective campus, as
well as disciplinary and punitive measures for those who violate the act.

Members of the WIU Smoke Free Campus Act include: Chair Digger Oster, Division of Administrative Services; Scott Coker, Facilities Management; Steve Rock, Faculty Senate; Joe Roselieb, University Housing and Dining Services; Kristi Mindrup, WIU-Quad Cities;
John Smith, Beu Health Center; Darcie Shinberger, Division of Advancement and Public Services and University Relations; Tim Sheridan, Student Judicial Programs; Pamela Bowman, Human Resources; Letisha Trepac, Academic Personnel; Scott Harris, Office of
Public Safety; Amanda Shoemaker, Council of Administrative Personnel; Wendi Mattson, Civil Service Employment Council; Tara Westerhold, Faculty Senate; Andrea Henderson, Equal Opportunity and Access; Tim Schroll, Facilities Management; JoAnn Hairston-Jones,
Alcohol and Other Drug Resource Center/Beu Health Center; David Dunn, Student Government Association; Julie Dewees, Division of Administrative Services; and Kerri Allen, McDonough County Health Department.
