Disability Culture Day at WIU April 8

MACOMB, IL – Disability Culture Day at Western Illinois University will be held from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, April 8 in the Lincoln Room of the University Union.

The interactive event, themed "The Power of Design," will educate participants about the importance of design and disability culture. It will also focus attention on the importance of critically thinking about the setup of spaces and activities.

The event is sponsored by the WIU Disability Resource Center (DRC), the WIU Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration, Students for Disability Awareness and the Student Therapeutic Recreation Society.

The event is open free to the public.
