World Cup Soccer Tourney at WIU April 10-11

MACOMB, IL — Western Illinois University's Center for International Studies and Campus Recreation are co-sponsoring a 2015 World Cup Soccer Tournament at WIU's Vince Grady Field 4-7 p.m. Friday, April 10 and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 11. Cost to register is $5 per person, and the tourney is open to WIU students.

Games will be played according to intramural outdoor soccer rules (six vs. six). Teams will consist of a minimum of five players and a maximum of nine players, and teams may be co-ed, all male or all female. There will not be separate brackets for this tournament, and prizes will be awarded for first place.

Registration forms are due by 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 7 and are available at Campus Recreation, the Center for International Studies (Memorial Hall, room 347) and at the following link: www.wiu.edu/international_studies/student_activities/Final2015%20World%20Cup%20%20Outdoor%20Soccer%20Registration%20Form.pdf.

All proceeds will go to the Western Illinois Regional Council Community Action Agency (WIRC-CAA).
