MACOMB, IL – May and August 2015 Western Illinois University graduates can get all their graduation questions answered and tie up any loose ends at the annual Grad Prep Day, hosted by the WIU Alumni Association.

Grad Prep Day on the Macomb campus is scheduled from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, April 16 in the University Union Concourse, and the Quad Cities campus event will be held from 1-5 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 in Riverfront Hall.

There will be several campus offices on site to answer graduation questions, including Financial Aid, the Visual Production Center, Registrar's Office, Billing and Receivables, the Career Development Center, the University Bookstore and the Alumni Association.

Students will be able to order and pick up their caps and gowns from the WIU Bookstore, learn about graduation announcements and pictures and meet with campus representatives. Class rings, sold by Jostens, will be discounted up to 40 percent. Jostens will be back on the Macomb campus from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, April 23 in the University Union Concourse for students who are unable to buy a ring during Grad Prep Day.

Alumni Association staff will be on site at Grad Prep Day to answer questions and outline the benefits of being a non-dues paying member of the Alumni Association, as well as to give students a gift for stopping by the event.

The Macomb event includes a group session titled, "Before you Leave: Your Student Loans and What to Expect," at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the University Union Fox Room, presented by the Financial Aid Office. Along with the sessions, Financial Aid advisers will be available to meet with students and answer individual questions from 10 a.m.–2 p.m., also in the Fox Room.

In addition to the Grad Prep Day events, Grad Blast, a senior send-off event, will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. April 16 at The Change of Pace, 301 N. Campbell St., Macomb. The event will feature prizes and free food.
