Services Set for WIU Employee Kevin Hazell

MACOMB, IL -- A visitation for Western Illinois University Facilities Management painter Kevin Hazell will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 5 at Thilen Funeral Home in Burlington, IA. A celebration of life will follow at The Washington, 306 Washington St. in Burlington. Hazell, 61, passed away March 2 in West Burlington.
A 1971 graduate of Burlington High School, Hazell had worked as a full-time painter at Western since May 1990.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen; two daughters and one son; one grandson; his mother; and three brothers.
"The Western Illinois University community mourns Kevin's death," said President Jack Thomas. "We extend our condolences and our thoughts to his family and friends."
