WIU International Bazaar is Feb. 28

MACOMB, IL – The 42nd annual International Bazaar, hosted by the Casa Latina Cultural Center and the International Friendship Club at Western Illinois University, will be held Saturday, Feb. 28.

The bazaar, which runs from noon-7 p.m. in the University Union Grand Ballroom, is themed "A Responsibility to Grow, an Opportunity to Learn." The event features a variety of cultural and food offerings from numerous countries.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children under age 10. Food tickets can be purchased in pages of $5, $10 and $20, and the $20 pack contains 23 food tickets.

A variety of booths will be on display during the bazaar, and there will be dance and musical performances by students from a variety of countries. The featured performer, at 4 p.m., is Svet: The Hip Hop Violinist, a Bulgarian superstar who has performed on "America's Got Talent."

The bazaar is open to the WIU and Macomb communities.
