Null Retirement Reception is Dec. 3

MACOMB, IL – A retirement reception for Catherine Null, assistant to the dean of the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) at Western Illinois University will be held from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3 in the Hainline Theatre lobby.

Null will retire Dec. 31 after working for Western for 23 years.

After receiving her bachelor's degree in art history from WIU in 1972, Null received a master's degree in English in 1991 and a master's degree in instructional technology and telecommunications in 2002.

From 1991 to 1993, Null was a technical editor for Curriculum Publications Clearinghouse, now the Document Publication Services (DPS). From 1993-2002 she was an instructor and computer lab coordinator for Western's English as a Second Language (WESL) Institute and from 2002-2005 she was the director of the Teaching Learning and Technology Center for WIU's College of Arts and Sciences. Null has been in her current position since 2005.
