MACOMB, IL - Western Illinois University's Department of Theatre and Dance will present "Merrily We Roll Along," a musical by legendary musical theatre composer Stephen Sondheim, at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14-15 and 18-20 in the Hainline Theatre.

The play traces the lives of three friends backward from 1976 to 1957, exploring the events and decisions that shaped them all the way back to a time when the world was full of hope and everything seemed possible. This show premiered on Broadway in 1981, but its themes of idealism, friendship and the costs of success resonate deeply in the present.

General admission is $15. Seniors, youth and WIU employee tickets are $13. WIU students are admitted free with valid identification.

Call the Hainline Theatre Box Office for tickets or information at (309) 298-2900.
During the Saturday, Nov. 15 performance, WIU Professor Bill Kincaid will be presented with the Illinois Theatre Award of Honor. A reception for Kincaid begins at 6:15 p.m. in Hainline Theatre.
