Huff Awarded Centennial Honors Scholarship

MACOMB, IL – Macomb High School senior Owen Huff, of Macomb has been selected for Western Illinois University's Centennial Honors Scholarship, which awards $10,000 per year to academically high-achieving students.

High school students with an ACT score of 30 or higher and a grade point average of 3.0 or higher are eligible for the scholarship.

Huff said he expects to major in chemistry at Western.

At Western, Huff said he hopes to participate in band, running, fencing and research.

After graduation, Huff hopes to attend graduate school in chemistry or attend medical school.

In high school, Huff participated in cross country, track, band and scholastic bowl.
