MACOMB, IL — Western Illinois University's College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) will host a guest recital featuring percussionists Nick Fox and Trevor Saint at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, in the COFAC Recital Hall.

The recital is open free to the public.

These two talented musicians are part of the "Undue" tour, a performance investigating and activating conversation, co-existence, choreographic sequence, momentary composition, resonance, density, directionality, purity and noise in the format of a contemporary percussion duo.

Fox has produced many outstanding works including "Song For Low Tree," which was presented at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research at Weber St. in Ogden, UT and at the state conference at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He was also chosen as a member of the Wisconsin All-Star Percussion Ensemble several times, performed at College Music Educators National Conference and has presented many recitals throughout his undergraduate/graduate programs.

Saint is the foremost performer of new music for solo glockenspiel, having commissioned, premiered and toured works for the extended-range instrument.
His recent projects include a concert-length realization of Amanda Schoofs' "Intimate Addictions," a 30-minute work for glockenspiel and bowed metals by Matt Sargent, construction and experimentation with amplified palette, and a new solo for percussion/voice by Stuart Saunders Smith.
