MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) will host its second annual "COFAC Fest 2014" from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, between Browne and Memorial Halls.

The event will help welcome back current COFAC students and provide more information for students interested in a major or minor in art, broadcasting, communication, music, theatre and dance or communication sciences and disorders. Tri States Public Radio and the WIU Art Gallery will also have representatives at the event, and WIUS-FM The Dog will be broadcasting live and giving tours of its broadcasting truck. There will also be a performance by The Surgin' Generals, WIU's improvisational group, as well as other groups affiliated with the WIU School of Music.

Free hot dogs and soda will be served while they last. Current COFAC students are also invited to attend.

Graphic design students will be doing 3-D sidewalk chalk art, and communication sciences and disorders representatives will be giving away free earplugs.
