MACOMB, IL - Western Illinois University's Difficult Conversations (also known as DifCons) will present "Ferguson: Does it Matter?" from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18 in the Lamoine Room of the University Union.

This will be the first topic of this year's Difficult Conversations series, which is designed to provide space for students, faculty and community members to voice their perspective on the issue of race relations in America. This event will use the recent events in Ferguson, MO, as a framework.

The discussions are organized by the Expanding Cultural Diversity Project and are co-sponsored by the Office of Student Activities, the University Diversity Council and the Center for Innovative Teaching and Research (CITR).
