UPDATE: Power Restored at WIU

UPDATE: Power has been restored to all buildings on the WIU campus.


UPDATE: Beginning at 7 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 15, power will be shut off to Corbin/Olson, Browne, Memorial and Simpkins halls to fix an electrical issue. Once power is ready to be restored, after about two hours of repair work, power in Sherman Hall will be shut down so all buildings can be powered back on at one time.

Sherman Hall was without power for about one hour Friday afternoon.



UPDATE: Power has been restored to Sherman Hall on the WIU campus. Workers are still attempting to restore electricity to Simpkins Hall.


MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University President Jack Thomas has announced a power outage impacting the south side of the Macomb campus.

Currently Sherman and Simpkins halls are without power and University officials are investigating the cause.
