Burlington, IA — The Burlington Bees baseball will host a western Illinois community night at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 26. The Bees face the Lansing Lugnuts at Community Field in Burlington; gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Residents from Macomb and surrounding communities, with valid identification, can purchase general admission-seating tickets for $3 each, $3 off the regular general admission-seating ticket price. According to Director of Community Relations Nick Waterman—who graduated with his master's degree in sport management (2014) and his bachelor's degree in management (2012) from Western—part-time residents of Macomb will also be able to receive the $3 ticket price. He said the Bees are making it possible for WIU students living in Macomb and surrounding communities for the summer to present their respective school IDs, and they will also be able to attend the game for the $3 general admission price per ticket.

"We understand there are many students from Western Illinois University that may not have IDs that say they are from a Western Illinois community, but who are living in those communities for the summer," Waterman said. "We would love to see as many WIU students come out to the game as possible."

Waterman said, after the game, attendees are welcome to run the bases, and fireworks will follow the game.
