MACOMB, IL – William Polley, an associate professor of economics at Western Illinois University, has been named interim associate dean of the College of Business and Technology. He will also serve as the director and program adviser for WIU's MBA program. Polley replaces John Drea, who retired in May.

Polley has been a faculty member in the Department of Economics and Decision Sciences since 2005. For the past six years, Polley served as the director and program adviser for the graduate program in economics. Previously, he was an assistant professor at Bradley University.

"Dr. Polley has been an outstanding educator and leader within the College of Business and Technology for the past nine years. His knowledge of the college and the University will further enhance this academic college and continue to move its programs forward," said WIU Provost Ken Hawkinson.
