Quinlan Awarded Centennial Honors Scholarship

MACOMB, IL – Chaparral High School Senior Patrick Quinlan, of Parker (CO), has been selected for Western Illinois University's Centennial Honors Scholarship, which covers four years of tuition, fees and a residence hall room at the school.

High school students with an ACT score of 32 or higher and a grade point average of 3.5 or higher are eligible for the scholarship.

Quinlan said he is considering majoring in economics at Western.

"In addition to my scholarship, my visit to campus opened my eyes to the fantastic atmosphere around the entire University," Quinlan said.

At Western, Quinlan would like to participate in baseball and jazz band.

In high school, Quinlan participated in baseball, marching band, jazz band, National Honor Society and teen court.
After graduation, Quinlan would like to attend graduate school.
